----Qu's P.O.V----
Ok. It's been a few months since I arrived at Renevar. I got a job, a place to stay, and everything is going great. I work at the library now and life is fine. So some people would say that I'm dumb as heck for signing the dang contract. Like, yea, Miss. Vague Librarian Lady- her actual name is Ms. Danayar- was extremely vague and a bit weird, not to mention the library itself. I am pretty sure that bookshelf is slightly see through. And what requirements is she looking for? But I need to eat so I'm sticking to my decision.
So basically my job is to replace Ms. Danayar and do everything for her, like putting books on the shelves, etc. Really boring and dangerous, seeing how the only ladder here is ancient and looks like it's about to break down. I can do whatever I want when I'm done and there are pretty much no rules. Except for one.
"What are you doing?" Ms. Danayar looked at me with narrowed eyes.
"Ah. Nothing at all, ma'am" I turned away from the transparent looking bookshelf, looking as innocent as a weasel.
"You know you aren't allowed near that bookshelf so why are you over there?"
"No reason." I said, embarrassed I got caught trying to investigate it.
"Mmhmmm." While reading her book she said. "How about you go home today Qu? You are only sixteen years old. You should be out having fun with other kids your age. I won't dock your pay."
I declined.
"I insist." She said. "Everyone needs a break once in a while, right? Take the day off."
Because Ms. Danayar wanted me to leave, I spent the day wandering around Renevar. I went to the market, some restaurants, just places here and there. I was thanking the gods that the guards had left when I started thinking about Ms. Danayar and the bookshelf. You see, the librarian tends to disappear a lot. I don't know where she goes, but I am going to bet it has something to do with the bookshelf. You might think I'm crazy, but there is something weird and Danayar doesn't seem to want me to know about it.
"How am I supposed to get to that shelf with her always watching?" I murmured. I thought for a few seconds and gasped. "Of course! At night, duh!.....Wait, that means I'll have to break in. Oh well. Hopefully, she'll never find out." I went to the inn the get ready to break into the library.
