“I am uninjured,” Xen said as they handed me bandages and tape. “That guy clocked you pretty good,” I responded. “You could have a concussion.” “I have a hard head. I am more worried about you.” They looked pointedly at my hands. I finished bandaging my sister and sat back, my hands in my lap. “Not going to lie, they hurt.” With the bandages off I could get a better look at the damage. The bruising on my right hand was starting to add yellow and green into the color scheme, but the puncture wounds were closed and scabbed.
