Yenzo and Ngawo were caught in a storm of emotions. Every day, they found themselves arguing over little things, like who spent more time on their phone. It felt like a game of tug-of-war. One evening, Yenzo, frustrated, shouted through the screen," You don't deserve me!" His heart sank after those words left his mouth.

Ngawo, on the other side of the phone, felt a prick of guilt. "I'm sorry, she typed slowly. I was selfish when I visited Ulundi and left my boyfriend. I should have thought about you" . Yenzo couldn't believe that Ngawo already had a boyfriend. "wait, you have a boyfriend, when did that happen" Yenzo asking with tears filled in his eyes.

Ngawo had to answer "yeah, but I dated him after we broke up for the third time" her voice barely audible. That was the predicament Yenzo had encountered so far, finding out that the girl he loved so much had found a replacement for him. Ngawo remembered that trip vividly. The beautiful landscapes and warm sun felt like a dream, but she had hurt Yenzo.

This matter of Ngawo having a boyfriend was understandable to someone who didn't know what was going on, because Ngawo got a boyfriend when she and had broken up with Yenzo then Ngawo saw a chance to find a replacement and now Yenzo wanted to fix things with Ngawo not knowing that Ngawo had replaced him.

Despite the tears and the chaos, Yenzo wanted to give their love another chance. He cared for Ngawo deeply, and his love was like a flickering candle in a storm. "I love you, Ngawo. Let's try again, he answered" . But deep inside, he wondered if her feelings for him were as strong as his were for her.

Their w******p chats had turned moody. Messages were filled with misunderstandings. They would argue about who was better at being supportive or who cared more. Sometimes, one person would ignore the other completely. Deep down, both wanted to feel valued and loved, but the fights made everything cloudy.

As Christmas approached, the air shifted. Bright lights and holiday cheer were everywhere, but Yenzo felt a heaviness in his heart. He had imagined celebrating Christmas with Ngawo, sharing laughter and joy. He pictured them exchanging gifts, but now it all seemed out of reach. Would they be able to repair their relationship?

Yenzo thought about sending her a message during the holiday. Maybe a funny meme or a sweet note could break the tension. He missed the fun conversations, the teasing, and the love they once shared. He wanted to see the colors of their love come alive again.

He took a deep breath and typed a simple message. "Hey Ngawo, I miss you. Let’s fix this before Christmas" . His finger hovered over the send button, hoping that this could be the start of healing. After a moment, he sent it off, hoping for a brighter future with Ngawo. Would she reply with open arms or stay distant? Only time would tell.

After two minutes Yenzo's phone buzzed "what we're doing to my boyfriend is wrong, I feel like I'm cheating on him, he's such a good guy," Ngawo's text. Yenzo had to swallow these words even though they are hard, hearing someone you love saying this to you.

Yenzo's love for Ngawo remained untouched, even though he heard ngawo speaking to him like that. Yenzo heard this text as someone bragging to him about her boyfriend. That's when Yenzo's love for ngawo started to shake.

Yenzo decided to man up, he called his childhood friend to let him know about this because new year celebration is coming. Phone rang, he called two times on the 3rd attempt zeh answered "I wonder what happened, you!

Calling me, ever since ngawo returned from Eastern Cape you never called me again, today what happened" Zeh laughing out loud, "things aren't going good for me, friend she's dating another guy from Eastern Cape but I still want us to try once again, you also know that it's been a 4th time we break up and get back together but this time I don't want to play" yenzo being serious on the other side of the phone. "another guy!? What do you mean" zeh being amazed. "yeah she's dating, but that's not what I called you for, what do you suggest, I do in this situation" Yenzo hopping for answers.

"I think you should organize a meet up with her, tomorrow evening because it's new year's celebration people will be busy even your parents won't notice that you're busy with her" zeh suggested. Yenzo's phone buzzed, it was Ngawo,"zeh it's her" Yenzo surprised. "who" zeh completely lost.

"who are we talking about exactly?, it's ngawo," Yenzo sighing, "ohhh, what is she saying, read out loud" zeh urging to hear. Ngawo was asking if Yenzo can show up for their meet up tomorrow evening around 9pm. "zeh she's suggesting we meet" Yenzo amazed. "you see, go get what's yours, she's yours my dawg, I'll hear from you then tomorrow evening, I'll hung up" zeh suggested, "you can't hung up, I called not you, I'm joking my guy thanks for the advice" Yenzo kidding. They hung up, yenzo's heart was filled with hope. The tug of war was coming to an end.
