It was 01 January 2026, and the morning light peeked through Yenzo's curtains. He lay in bed, his mind racing with thoughts of the yesterday's night . Yesterday had been magical. He had spent a wonderful evening with Ngawo, the person who made his heart race. They had never shared moment of laughter and deep connection like that before. Yenzo could still feel the warmth of their hugs, the way their bodies pressed close together. He recalled the sweet words whispered during their cozy moments. It was as if the world around them had faded away, and they only existed in that little bubble of happiness. The eye contact they shared was powerful. In those brief moments, they communicated so much - hopes, dreams, and feelings that words alone could not capture. As the sunlight spilled into his room, Yenzo sat up and replayed every detail of the evening in his mind. There had been a moment when he had looked deep into Ngawo’s eyes. It was then that Yenzo felt something shift between them. The connection was undeniable, and he was so thrilled that Ngawo felt the same way. It was like a dream came true. Overwhelmed with excitement, Yenzo decided he had to tell Ngawo how he felt. He could not keep these feelings bottled up any longer. As he prepared for the day, his heart raced. Thoughts of their last moments together made him smile. He found himself humming the "nginendaba" song that reminded him of Ngawo. Both Yenzo and ngawo spent that day with excitement, there were still stucked on yesterday's evening. While Yenzo was sitting on the porch, someone shouted "Yenzo, y Yenzo!", yenzo took a peek through the window only to find out that was Zeh, Yenzo's friend. He approached him with a great smile, Zeh could see that his heart was filled with joy, love and relief. "hey what is it with such smile?" Zeh asking. "no it's nothing, it's just that yesterday was a perfect day for me and ngawo" him turning towards the sunset 🌇. "tell me what happened, be fast" Zeh urging to hear. "alright, I snea.....". "wait wait you sneaked through the gap? " zeh being amazed 😳. "yeah I was supposed to, let me proceed , so I sneaked and hold her hands I noticed that she feels the same way then I pulled her closer to me, that's when she rested her head on my chest, I was inhaling her hair scent, my one arm around her waist, yhoooo it was so nice!!! "Yenzo wanting to dance." mmhm I hear you and this makes you happy I can tell but what I can tell you is that if you feel like she's the one, your heart chooses her against all odds go for her, my dawg that's the advice I can give you, "zeh said." but that's not what you came for, right?, "yenzo closing the topic," actually I came for that, but let me excuse you and continue to day dream her, "zeh leaving yenzo standing. Yenzo entered the house to grab a glass of water, when suddenly his phone buzzed. He grabbed it and navigated to the notification only to find out it is ziyanda, she's asking how the meeting went. Yenzo told her everything and they way he feels. Yesterday evening he was wearing a two piece pyjamas and the upper piece of the pyjama on the shoulder, ngawo' scent was stucked there, yenzo would sniff at this pyjama, he didn't want to wash the pyjama what he did, he folded it nicely and placed it on top of the counter next to his bed. Ngawo's hug is a sanctuary to yenzo, a safe haven where the world melts away and all that remains is warmth of her embrace. In those moments time stand still, and yenzo becomes wrapped in a love that's both gentle and fierce. It's a feeling that chases away every doubt, calms every fear and makes him feel like his home. It was a calm evening when Yenzo sat on his bed, feeling nervous yet hopeful. He opened his phone and typed a message to Ngawo. He wanted her to know that he would wait for the best version of themselves. What he typed touched both of them. When Ngawo received his message, she felt something change inside her. His words made her heart flutter. She agreed with him; waiting was worth it if it meant becoming better together. But as they typed their replies, there was a strange pattern. They would write long messages filled with hopes, dreams, and feelings, only to delete everything before sending. Each time they typed, their fingers hesitated as if they were carefully choosing the words. They were both afraid, yet excited, wanting to express their true selves. Suddenly, a voice came from the outside, breaking the silence in Yenzo's room. “Yenzo! Yenzo!” It was a familiar voice calling him. He recognized it immediately. It was Samkelo, Ngawo's cousin. The voice brought a rush of excitement, making Yenzo forget about the message he was crafting. He hurried to the door, eager to see them both. When he opened the door, there stood Samkelo, grinning widely, with Ngawo beside him near the wire fence. The sight filled Yenzo with joy. Ngawo looked beautiful with the light from the setting sun behind her, casting a warm glow around her. Yenzo felt his heart race. “I’m coming!” he shouted, closing the door with a big smile on his face. He practiced his seriousness as he walked towards the front yard but couldn’t help but feel just a bit giddy inside. It felt good to be around Ngawo and Samkelo. As Yenzo approached them, he felt a wave of confidence washing over him. “Hey, what are you guys doing here?” he asked, trying to sound casual, but there was a sparkle of excitement in his eyes. “We just wanted to hang out!” Samkelo replied, and Ngawo nodded, a smile spreading across her face "but me I'm asking if you can please lend me a charger, the type c one," her calmly asking. "Sure! Let me get it for you," Yenzo replied eagerly. He could hardly take his eyes off her. It felt like a scene from a romantic movie; he felt lost in her gaze. Yenzo rushed to his house, trying to remember where he had last put the charger. While he was away, Samkelo teased Ngawo. "You know he likes you, right?" he said with a laugh. Ngawo blushed but waved her hand to dismiss the comment. "He’s just being nice", . Yenzo came back quickly, holding the charger triumphantly. As Ngawo reached out to take it, their eyes locked. Time seemed to stop, and the world around them faded. It felt like magic. But just then, Samkelo interrupted, playfully saying, "Hey you two, you won't do that in front of me!" His words pulled them back to reality. Ngawo laughed, slightly embarrassed, and took the charger. She turned to head back inside the house. As Ngawo walked away, Yenzo couldn’t take his eyes off her. She moved with such confidence; every step seemed graceful and filled with charm. She was not just beautiful; she was captivating. Samkelo nudged Yenzo, teasing him. "You really like her, don’t you?" Yenzo smiled, feeling a warmth in his heart. He knew something special was happening. The evening went on, and Samkelo and Yenzo relaxed in the garden. They shared stories and laughter until the stars began to light up the night sky. As the darkness fell, Yenzo could not erase his mind about ngawo's beauty he witnessed during the day. The night was young, and he hoped to see her again soon, perhaps with even more courage to express what was in his heart. With each passing moment, the story of Ngawo and Yenzo was just beginning, filled with excitement and unspoken emotions.
