Chapter Two: Going Abroad（2）

Finally, the day arrived. Yuyi and Eddie sat on the plane, lost in their own thoughts. Yuyi was busy planning her money-making strategy once she reached America. She had never worked before, so she had no work experience. But whatever, she would figure it out when she got to America. For now, she'd take a nap. As she drifted off, she dreamed of having lots and lots of money, a smile spreading across her face, even drooling a bit.

Eddie couldn't understand Yuyi at all. She was so young yet already thinking about getting married. She seemed like the type who wanted to marry a wealthy man. But whatever, all he needed was the Jack family's fortune. This girl's affairs had nothing to do with him. He didn't need to know or understand anything about her. She just couldn't become his problem. Their agreement was clear; as soon as he got the fortune, she would be free, and they would have nothing to do with each other.

After a long flight, the plane finally arrived in Los Angeles, USA. The two of them walked out of the airport like a couple, but things didn't go as smoothly as they had hoped. As soon as they left the airport, Yuyi was full of curiosity about this unfamiliar environment. She looked around eagerly, just like a country bumpkin visiting a big city for the first time. Yuyi grabbed someone passing by, trying to ask if they had seen Eddie or if they knew anyone looking for an oriental woman. But she couldn't speak English, and even after trying for a while, no one understood her. Everyone just shook their heads at her. Frustrated, she tried to gesture, but no one could understand her. Since no one understood her, she could only stand there and wait, hoping Eddie would come and find her. But no matter how long she waited, Eddie didn't show up. Had they really gotten separated, and she would never see him again? Or had he found out she was lost and given up looking for her?

It was all her fault for running around recklessly. Now that she was lost, it wasn't that she had broken their agreement; it was that Eddie had lost her and hadn't come to find her. After waiting for a long time with no sign of Eddie, Yuyi finally gave up. Well, she might as well find a place to rest first. She found a relatively inexpensive hotel to stay in and then prepared to begin her self-proclaimed career of working and making money. Haha, she couldn't help but admire her own cleverness.
