"Are you okay?"
"You are a cold-hearted b***h and I don't think I can do this anymore"
I tensed but deep down I expected it.
"What?"
"We can't be together," He said, a little too loudly.
"What did I do?"
You know what you did, you cold b***h.
He stared at me for a while. He was fully dressed now.
"Do you love me?"
I stopped.
"Venus, we have been dating for two years now, you have never told me you loved me"
"I care about you Gab"
"Not f*****g enough!" He screamed and kicked my bed. " How cold are you Ven, how cold are you that you can never tell me how much you love me, even in bed, what's wrong with you? "
I stared into his eyes for a long and started putting on my clothes.
"You're not saying anything?"
"f**k you Gab"
"You are unbelievably heartless and I can't believe I actually loved you genuinely all these years " His lips quivered and he walked slowly out of my house. I stared at him as he left, speechless.
I flipped my laptop and checked my emails.

Nice Venus. A breakup and a rejection email.
I banged my laptop loudly and grabbed a cigarette. Writers really saw hell when it came to a field they were not conversant with. It irritated me. Lucian had told me constantly to quit this job and look for something in my field.
Fiction is just you.
Lucian's statement kept bouncing in my head. I kept telling her how The Pensmiths were really not that bad. It wasn't, my past contents were always approved and they paid well. Their pay for the last six months had made me even buy a new Ford and changed my living room setting, but the truth was the truth. I had worked for the company for a year and I was not happy. The company dealt mostly with copywriting, research writing, and brand writing. I am pretty good in that field but it always came out forced and it seemed unnatural. It was really not me and I tried to conceal it and focus on the money. It was really hard but lately getting harder, I could feel myself zoning out when trying to come up with new content. I had searched constantly for fiction writing jobs but I couldn't find any. Gabriel had laughed at me and told me fictional writers were authors, that I had to write a book and put it out there. And that was the problem. I was scared. The thought of putting your own thing out there and seeing people's judgment and reviews scared me. I was such a loser.
What made me so scared?
A question I can certainly not answer.
Fuck
I threw on a polo, grabbed a cigarette, and left my house. I bought a drink and strolled toward Brooklyn Bridge. One thing I loved about living in this part of New York was the view I get from this bridge, it was why I never moved out from there even though Dad insisted on me it reminded me of Richie's suicide.
Richie.
I wondered what she felt when killing herself. Did she think of me? Of anything. What went through her mind as she threw herself languidly at the cold arms of death? I sighed.
I saw a black Bentley pull up close to where I was standing. I watched as a coal-suited man in his early thirties open the car doors for.....
I gulped. It was him. It was the hot model from the store. I looked at myself, old denim jeans and a polo that wrote: "Hello kitty".
Really Ven?
He noticed me almost immediately, he caressed his jet-black hair and slowly turned his head toward me. I couldn't stop staring at him. It seemed he got hotter, he was putting on Jeans and his plain white polo that screamed five thousand dollars into my face. He started walking towards me and his face was almost solid. He wasn't smiling at all. He stood beside me for minutes and didn't utter a thing.
"So, how is your terrible week coming on?" I squeaked.
He stared at me, surprised, like he had intended us to quietly stand together and look towards the bridge.
"Horrible enough"
"Yeah, same here"
"You look horrible and I still want to f**k you"
I gasped. A hot stranger that didn't even ask me my name was telling me in broad daylight that he wanted to f**k me. I stared at him and he stared right back.
"Been thinking about you since the store and I find you attractive enough to f**k you, I'll give you a hundred thousand dollars, you could come with me now"
He stared at me so lazily like he was so used to this. I wanted to slap him and then I also wanted to kiss him.
He chuckled.
"I think you would actually need the money, considering the clothes I've seen you put on "
I was boiling and the fact that he was so hot wasn't helping my anger at all.
"Uhm, my car is waiting "
He was so confident. I had never felt so insulted and belittled in my whole life. I slapped him. The lazy look didn't leave his face and he didn't flinch nor did he move, he kept staring at me, his eyes were on my lips.
"Who the hell are you??!"
"Your palms are so soft" His stare was not normal, it was going to my soul and inside my clothes.
"Do you need to know my name before I f**k you? "
What the hell??
As he stepped closer, his intense gaze fixated on my lips, my heart began to race. The air between us crackled with tension, and I could feel a powerful magnetism drawing me toward him.
I could sense the heat emanating from his body as he leaned in, and I couldn't help but feel a shiver run down my spine. But before I could even respond, he interrupted me, his voice low and husky. "Will you be my w***e?" he asked, his eyes smoldering with a raw intensity that left me breathless.
I was stunned, unsure of what to say or do. On the one hand, I was drawn to him like a moth to a flame, and the idea of being his "w***e" sent a thrill through me. But on the other hand, I didn't want to be used and discarded like an object.
My heart raced as I weighed my options, trying to decide what to do. Finally, I mustered up the courage to speak. "I can't be your w***e," I said softly, my voice barely above a whisper.
He looked at me, his expression unreadable, and for a moment, I thought I had made a mistake. But then, to my surprise, he leaned in and pressed his lips to mine, a searing kiss that left me gasping for air.
For a moment, we stood there, lost in each other, the heat between us growing hotter with every passing second. And even though I knew that this could never be anything more than a fleeting moment of passion, I couldn't help but savor every second of it, knowing that I would never forget the way his gaze made me feel alive.
He was so unbelievably hot and cold at the same time. Is he even human? how could one person possess so much electricity?
"Be my w***e, Venus"
How did he know my name? He leaned forward and touched my arms, I could feel my n****e stiffening with just that touch and I wanted to leap at him. His breath fanned my neck and for a moment I thought he was going to kiss me, but he didn't. He pulled back and stared at my face as if searching for permission.
I swallowed and stepped back before I would let him do something I would have instantly regretted.
