Technically, that statement could have been false, but you can always play accusations off as a misunderstanding if you start with them.
"And, pray tell, what about?" he returns calmly.
The moment of truth- or rather the moment of lying your ass off and hopefully getting it right.
"What you're doing here."
Just vague enough to cover lots of things, just specific enough to sound believable as a response, and just serious enough to get him to talk... probably.
"Well, I suppose that could be," he says coyly, though maintaining a straight face throughout. "What are you doing here?"
Ignoring the returned question, Nua narrows his eyes at Novus- if that was his name.
"Tell me why you're here or I'll beat it out of you," Nua growls out, already annoyed with him.
Novus rolls his eyes in return, ignoring Nua's question in much the same manner as he did his own.
"Pray tell, how are you going to beat me?"
Nua smirks.
This guy doesn't even have a quarter of my mana reserves; is he stupid?
He pauses, considering that for a moment.
Well, it's entirely possible he simply can't sense magic...
Man, what low quality training that would imply. Magic sensing was perhaps the most valuable asset in a fight against someone like him.
"Your loss," Nua declares, shrugging casually.
In that instant, every instinct in Nua's body cries out in alarm. Unfortunately, he doesn't quite understand before it hits him.
Literally.
Novus's boot crashes into Nua's chest, compounding the comparatively minor injury from the Leo and blowing him backwards.
No trees greet him, fortunately, but the blow leaves him momentarily dazed.
That seemed to be enough for Novus.
At a speed that rivaled teleportation- for mortal eyes, anyway- Novus flips forward through the air before slamming his outstretched leg into the corner of Nua's skull.
Senses spontaneously absent, Nua slams directly into the unwelcoming dirt with an unceremonious burst of blown apart soil.
"Now think over what you've done," Novus orders as he walks off in the direction Schwarz and Nacah had gone.
Not that Nua could really see that from the realm unconsciousness.
