“I believe I am...HUMAN?”
Those words came out of my mouth sounding more like a curse than reality. My wolf had vanished. My generation is the first to have lost such a priceless gift. Despite Cole's warnings, I ignored them. His warnings rang in my thoughts like a never-ending phone call, causing me a great deal of irritation.
'I'm a human! How did I allow this to happen?' As my father, closest friend, all the Elders, and the members of what was once my pack stared at me with blank stares, these thoughts ravaged my mind.
Nobody said anything. They were at a loss for words. What do you say when a werewolf loses the part of themselves that allows them to be a wolf? How are they going to recover from that?
