"You know how difficult it was for my hair to be like this, and now you want to mess it up," she said, as she took her seat beside me. "You know that I don't like brushing my hair, much." She said, now looking at the board. I did the same. 'She hasn't changed a bit.' Chapter 5: It’s On! It has already been a month since Melissa moved here and came to this school, and it already seems as if she made some 'friends' with the popular group. They have been bothering her lately, and Melissa hates them so much, and they, her. I'm going to tease her and call them friends, nothing will go wrong right? Right. "She's so annoying, her and her little group of Bitches." She almost yelled complaining about her new 'friends'. "Hunt, are you even listening to me?!" She said a little irritated "Of course I'm listening, I'm glad that you already seem to be making friends now," I said, giving her a small smile. She just glared at me and I almost regretted the words that have come out of my mouth. Bad idea..... She grabbed my shirt and pulled me closer to her. She glared into my eyes. For a girl that is smaller than me and looks sweet, she can be quite intimidating when she's angry. "Listen, i***t. Don't you dare even think of putting me and that b***h in the friend’s category! If I even hear you saying that bullshit again, I will make your life hell, you understand me!!" she yelled in anger. Her sadistic nature showed in her eyes. And if I wasn't mistaking, you could even feel the dark aura surrounding her, you could even say it's her 'killing intent'. I just nodded slowly fearing that my life was on the line. She gave me a sweet and happy smile and let me go. "Good, now come on Hunt, let’s go to lunch," she said, grabbing my hand and guiding me to the cafeteria. I exhaled the breath that I didn't even know I was holding, it scared me how she could be a demon when angry and then become an angel in 0.5 seconds. "Note to self: Never say to a girl her enemy is her friend. You will never be able to see the light of day again." I noted mentally. ~~~~~~~~~oOoOo~~~~~~~ I and Melissa took our lunches and smoothly went out of the cafeteria walking towards the outside benches with no problem at all. It's such a nice day out, I would like to eat outside today and have a soothing conversation with Mel. No problems at all, just a good lunch between good friends without any problems. That is all I ask. But like the world around me hates me, they put me on trial. Testing my patience once again on the average human. Mel was now facing the girls who have been bothering her; and let me tell you, this stare-off is not pretty. Mel and the girls all glared at her; it sent shivers down my spine what a woman's glare could do, good thing I don't need to deal with it anymore. There we were, Melissa with an irritated and disgusting gaze towards the group leader, and the leader and her henchmen at her. And me, smiling because I didn't know WHAT THE f**k WAS GOING ON!!! This feeling reminds me of how I feel in math sometimes. If I wasn't mistaken, I would have thought that I have already walked in a land mine from the dangerous aura these girls are releasing. But, maybe I did. "Oh look, if it isn't the ugly b***h from earlier," said the leader of the group. She had blond straight hair by her shoulders, white colored skin, too much makeup, green eyes and was slightly taller then Melissa, as by the rest of the group, they were slightly similar as their leader. But nope, I am gravely mistaken. I would rather walk in a place full of landmines, then be right here, next to some girls having a fierce full glare off. Melissa then roughly pushed her plate onto me, I looked at her a little confused until I could finally grasp the situation. "Hold it!" she demanded. I nodded. I was currently praying silently as I looked at the current situation. May her soul Rest In Peace. The poor girls don’t know what they are getting into. But she kinda deserved what was about to come to her. "Why don't you look in the mirror, before you call someone ugly. That's just being a hypocrite," Melissa snapped. I just started to take a few steps back from her; not wanting to also get in the drama. "b***h please, I'm far from ugly," the leader said, as she flipped her hair. "Nah b***h, GPS says you have reached your destination," Mel said back, I held a hand on my mouth to restrain a laugh; while others did the same or just laughed out loud. The girl gasped, and so did her little minions. She then huffed in anger. "At least there are many guys that want to be with me, but I don't pay attention to them; unlike some people." She said, looking up and down on Mel and her outfit. "b***h you can’t be ugly and play hard to get. You already hard to want," Mel retorted. I couldn't refrain from laughing, so I laughed out loud. "I'm sure that the boys that 'want you' are fake". "Very funny," Blondie said as she rolled her eyes. "That was a good joke." She said sarcastically as she rolled her eyes. "Hmm, you can't take a joke. But you sure as hell, like walking around like one," Mel said, forming a smirk on her lips. "But that's none of my business." "That's my future wife!" I heard a guy yell in the background. Slap! Was the sound that surrounded the halls, when I looked. Mel's face was turned slightly the other way, and Blondie had a wicked smile on her face. She just snickered, and Mel glared at her. Ok, I know I was feeling a little bit of pity on her earlier, but now I don't feel anything about what Mel will do to her. She's going to most probably send her to the hospital after this; and that's because Mel is a kickboxing champion. Chapter 6: This Means War Mel's face was covered by her curly hair, nobody could have seen the devilish smirk that had crafted on her face but for me. I knew what Melissa was doing, and her act wasn't going to be pretty for blondie. As a boxer we can't use our techniques as we please. Everything we do is for self-defense and self-defense only. And Melissa figured if she was hit, she would be able to defend herself and would avoid getting a long suspension. Blondie snickered in happiness thinking that she had proven a point. Gasps heard behind me by the people that had surrounded us. And then there was me, thinking should I stop Melissa from beating the blondie to a pulp, or to enjoy the show. I did what any best friend would do. I just took a few steps back to be in the safe zone, and I advised the group of students that were surrounding us to do so too. Some did what I said because it looked like they got the message. Others stood in the same place. "If you guys don't want to get hurt, I advise that you take a few steps back," I said. Others did as they were told. "Ha, don't make me laugh. You think I will get hurt by this b***h," snickered blondie, pointing a finger towards Melissa. Melissa took this as an opportunity and cross punched her right in the nose. Blood was pouring out of her nose like a running sink. Blondie's face was making a painful and horrified expression. Then she started screaming in pain from her bloody nose. Then she glared at Melissa for what she had done, and Mel just smirked. "OH MY GOD!!!! Look at what you did with my nose! And I just got my nose done last week! You will pay you b***h!" screeched the blond girl. Then came charging at Melissa with both her arms open. This girl is leaving herself open, I think she's even begging Melissa to beat her up. Melissa took the girl’s right arm and slid her foot on the blonde’s right foot causing her to lose balance. Melissa then turned her back and picked up the girl and slammed her to the floor. She also put the same arm she used to throw herself and pushed it on her back. "Ow! Ow! Ow! Let me go!! b***h if you don't let me go right now I swear I will, ahhhh!!" she caught off. Mel pushed her arm even further from its place, almost breaking it. That’s when I decided to come in and stop the fight. That was until the same big guy that I saw in Damien's group take action. Now, me thinking that he would separate the girls more gently than he did. But no, this bastard decided to pull Mel forcefully off the blonde, and then throw her, yes you read right. He threw her off the girl. Mel harshly fell to the ground, and I ran to her side. "Are you okay?" I said looking at Mel with worried eyes. She only gave me a soft smile and nodded, I smiled, now knowing she was okay. I could now give my full attention to the bastard. I looked where the guy was, he seemed to be talking with the girl, and she only nodded. He then said something making her eyes widen slightly, and then she nodded and left, taking her minions with her. He then looked towards us, and glared at me. I gladly returned his glare, but much harder. He then walked towards us, the crowd that once surrounded us ran away, now leaving the cafeteria nearly empty. He then glared down on us, and his glare was quite intimidating, but I did not let that show. "You will leave Brittney alone from now on, if you know what's good for you," he said in a low deep voice. Then he directed his glare to me. A slight shiver ran down my spine when his eyes and mine locked together. "And you will stay away from Damien, also if you know what's good for you." Then like that he took his leave. An embarrassed blush came upon my face from what he just said. 'He doesn't think I can protect myself?! And not only me, Mel either?' I thought. I then looked at his now leaving body and screamed the following. "I can protect myself y'know!" I screamed at him, but he’s leaving body didn't falter. He kept on walking like I didn't say anything. It's like he didn't even hear me, and that made my face flush red in irritation. I then sighed, trying to regain my composure and not letting his words affect me. And I succeeded. "Come on," I said to Mel, helping her up. "Let's go home," I said, not wanting to stay at school. She nodded and followed. And like that, we left the cafeteria and went home. Chapter 7: Calderon Twins Mel was suspended for a week for fighting on school grounds. As for blondie, she was suspended for 2 weeks and was currently being hospitalized, because of her broken nose. And as for me, I'm currently out in the school’s"garden". But to me, this is more of an outside spot to eat. I took a bite from my sandwich and listened to my music. The usual. The things I used to do before Mel came to this school, but now she's suspended. As I finished my sandwich, I was going to read a book or something to pass the time. That was until, some unknown person stood right in front of me; like I had my head down, I could only see the person’s feet and clothed legs. I lifted my head slowly to see the person in front of me, just to be met with green emerald piercing eyes. I blinked a few times, and then I took the whole view of the person’s face. I was a little surprised to see that it was the guy that threatened us a few days ago.
