Chapter Thirty Francesca enjoyed her first couple of months at Cherry Tree Lodge, helping the teacher with the kids, getting familiar with them, and above all signing. The first day was terrifying, being introduced to her students by Mrs Jones, the experienced teacher Mrs Redmond assigned her to. Francesca stood in front of the fifteen inquisitive children, spelling out her name with her fingers. Once the initial introduction was over, the nerves in her belly stopped fluttering, and she found herself conversing with them.
