Chapter Seventy-Nine Aidan turned the engine off. He couldn’t leave Chris in this state; the guy was drowning in vodka. He could do himself an injury, he thought, pulling on the handle, and opening his door. “This could be a mistake,” he said, hauling himself out of his seat. Walking towards the barn, Aidan hoped Chris wasn’t drinking more. “Chris! We need to talk, mate.” No reply, no ranting. “Chris?” When he reached the barn, Chris lay on the floor unconscious.
