Chapter Eighty-Two Aidan rang the bell for service. They had a full dining room of thirty tables of paying guests. With only four in the kitchen, and Benjamin as a go-between, they were fortunate the tables were mostly twos and fours. They had a party of eight in, but they had their mains an hour earlier. “Keep it going, peeps. We’re doing great.” Kate rushed in carrying dirty plates, stacked them by the sink, and met him in front of the line. “Table sixteen. Four gammon steaks, two with eggs and two with pineapple.
