Chapter Forty-Nine
The restaurant was half-full by eight o'clock. Kate checked the bookings folder to find that there were still a further three tables to arrive. They were set up, ready to receive their guests. She glanced over at the front doors to find Graham stood waiting to be greeted. "Table ten's ready to be cleared, Fran. I'm showing Graham to his table now."
She felt guilty leaving Amy with Chris earlier, but she couldn’t interfere. Kate told Edie she would keep an eye out for them, yet there was not much she could do for her friend's husband and daughter. They were grieving.
