Chapter Fifty-Three Aidan finished slicing the lettuce. He picked up the chopping board and slid the pieces into the stainless-steel pot. While Chef was busy prepping the main courses as much as he could without actually cooking them, he put himself on salad duty. He attracted Chef’s attention. “Why are you so excited?” He didn’t need to read sign language. Chef shrugged, while smiling and continuing to place his shepherd’s pie into single pots. “Fine. Be weird.” Once the salad bar was filled, Aidan took his knife and chopping board over to the sink, washed them, and placed them in the dishwasher.
