Samantha, I need you to go to Zenith Corporation, meet with the new CEO, and get to know each other," Lucy instructed. "His father has proposed a marriage between you two, and I want you to marry an eligible young billionaire like Andre," she added. "Do not disappoint me; use your seductive charm to make him fall for you."
Sam smiled broadly. "Mummy, trust me, I'll win him over; he'll be all over me by the end of our meeting," she stated confidently.
Mummy, I want Kind to follow me in case I need her to run errands for me. And we need to constantly remind her of her place."
"We need to make her understand that she is nothing but a slave and can’t have the kind of man like I do," Samantha said mockingly.
"Well, you’re right, Sam. I will instruct her to go with you," Lucy agreed.
I helped Sam select a dress, but she rejected it and chose a very tight one instead. As we approached the Zenith building, her zipper ripped, and she gasped in horror. "Kind!!" she yelled, her eyes wide with panic. "Get me another dress, now!!"
My heart was racing. "Okay, Samantha," I said, hurrying to the car where we kept a spare dress. I rushed back to the restroom where Samantha was waiting, fuming.
"What took you so long?" she snapped, snatching the dress from my hand.
"I’m so sorry, Sam," I said softly, stepping back as she changed into the new dress.
She was ready in a few minutes, and we made our way to Andre’s office. My hands were filled with the gifts she got for him. She walked with a determined stride, and I followed a few steps behind.
As soon as we walked into the office, a tall, handsome young man with brown eyes and curly hair stood with a polite smile on his face. I thought to myself, "He must be Andre." I had only heard of him and was seeing him for the first time. Damn, he was hot!
"You must be Samantha?" he asked, stretching his hand forward to Sam for a handshake.
Blushing, Sam replied, "Yes, I am, and it is really nice to finally meet you, Andre," with a smile.
"The pleasure is mine, Samantha. My dad has told me so much about you, and indeed, you’re beautiful. Please have a seat," he said to Sam.
Then, turning to me, he asked, "And you are?" as he stretched his hand towards me for a handshake.
"A nobody!" Sam interrupted. "She is just my slave," she said with a demeaning look. "Kind, drop the gifts and excuse us, or do you want to be a third wheel?"
I quickly dropped the gifts and rushed out.
ANDRE’S POV
As soon as Samantha walked in, I noticed the beautiful lady behind her. She looked like an angel. I wondered how she became a slave to a spoiled brat like Samantha. Something about her seemed familiar, but I couldn’t place it.
All through my meeting with Samantha, I only thought about Kind. She was the only thing on my mind. I didn’t like the way Samantha treated her, and I wished so badly to see her again and get to know her.
I only agreed to meet up with Sam because of my dad, and the only way to see Kind again is to accept marrying Samantha.
Samantha, oblivious to my distraction, chatted about her interests and our families plans for our union.
After what felt like an eternity, the meeting finally came to an end. I escorted her to the door, my thoughts still elsewhere.
KIND’S POV
As Sam and I made our way home, she couldn’t contain her excitement. "Andre is perfect," she gushed. "He is everything I hoped for, and he was totally into me, I could tell."
I smiled. "I’m glad it went well, Sam," I said softly.
Samantha’s expression turned smug. "You know, Kind, someone like you can never get a man like Andre. He would never look at you twice."
My heart ached at the harsh words, but I kept calm. "I’m happy for you, Sam," I repeated.
