The Lunch

January 2nd, 2011. Bank Account: 24,749.90 With the cash flow that got inserted into my money. I was feeling pretty secure with everything. I knew my next step was to find programmers to make my idea come true and damn was I excited to make this dream of my come true.  The last 2-3 weeks I have spent every evening after work working on my proposal and plan to get this started. Heck, I even skipped lunch and would work on the project at my desk with fistfuls of food. So with this lunch date, I was more than annoyed that I would be wasting an hour on not being able to work on my project.  "Hey, Madeline!" "Nice to see you again Cristian." As Madeline sits down, "So, Madeline I saw your proposal and I was impressed but I want to know more about you and the origin of why you are starting this business." "I... Wow, uhm. Well, I have been on a ton of dates. I have tried so many things, and it seems none of the guys I'm looking at are serious about what they want. Most are still partying and figuring themselves out, yet for me. I just want a partner, I can do life with and it just seems a lot of women aren't finding that either because I have raised around 10 thousand more since last night to get my project started. I made a gofundme account and wrote out my wishes." She says excitedly showing him the phone with the 10 thousand dollars raised bar.  "Well, you are ambitious alright." "Thanks?" "So what's next with your project?" "Well I'm thinking I need a programmer who'll help me build the app, so I been looking at a few websites to hire someone. Haven't found anyone suitable for the job yet." "Suitable?" "Well, yes. I would really like that programmer to have the same wishes I do and totally understand my goals with this big project. As for the 25 thousand, I owe. I have to pay that back within 5 years, and I really don't like owing money, but in order for this plan to work I had to borrow." "Hmm... What do you think about us?" "What?!" "Well we been talking for quite some time, you seem pretty closed off with your feelings I just wanted a direct answer." "Well, I'm not sure. I really don't see you as a keeper." "And why is that?" "You aren't a lot of things on my list." "Well, would you be willing to give this guy that breaks the idea of your list a gamble?" Confused Madeline looks up at Cristian, she meets a pair of very serious eyes and for once in her life, Madeline wasn't sure about her plans. "I don't know if this will work out." "You'll never know if you never try though." "Okay." "Okay, what?" "Let's give this a try. Also, I need to get back to work so let's talk more later." "How about a phone number?" "Okay." Madeline types her number into his phone.
