Chapter 14When this section of the building first came down around them, John expected he and Dean would be crushed beneath the wreckage. He huddled over Dean, eyes squeezed shut and terror clawing its way out of his chest until the dust settled and the noise finally stopped.
His complete and utter disbelief at still being alive was nothing compared to his feelings when he stared into the wet, dirty, and absolutely breathtaking face of Doctor Nick Davros as he glared around his raised hand.
“Nick?” John dropped his flashlight and grabbed Nick by the shoulders. He pulled him close. Fear, relief, adrenaline. The swirl of emotions ignited into a spontaneous imperative he couldn’t resist.
