After I had dressed up in slacks and a button-down shirt that I rolled its sleeves up to my elbow, I checked myself out in the mirror and nodded in approval before leaving the room.
My cologne and aftershave were embedded in the air with each step I took down the hallway and further down the stairs.
The upbeat music emitting from the hall—where the festival would be taking place, helped to erase the silent atmosphere of the Alpha mansion. That was more like it.
On reaching downstairs, the first place I had in mind was the lobby. I just wanted to see her face again. But as I turned to head that way, I saw Dexter coming out of the hall.
"Alpha, our pack members are waiting." He said, taking a slight bow as he got closer to me.
