"Vampires have the ability to use mind control. It's called compulsion, and it turns the controlled into a zombie. The controlled can't do anything they aren't told to do," Nolan says. "I've seen it a lot. It only stops if a vampire breaks the connection or if the vampire who did the compulsion dies."
"These vampires are going to die," Colin growls.
"As your advisor, I must warn you that there is still a peace treaty between our species. We should really call in an elder."
