  Alex's POV   I don't know how long I stay rooted to the couch, but at some point the night sky turns bright. The birds sing. It's a whole new day. Maybe a week ago that would've given me some confidence. But now? Now I just feel like I'm stuck in a cycle of misery. I rack my brain, trying to come up with any idea of what to do.
