"Thank you, Colin." James pulls his brother in for a hug.
Peyton clears his throat over his phone. "Thomas wants to meet with all of us. He'll come here as long as we promise we deal with this privately. He's only a few minutes away."

James leaves the three of us to our business just as Thomas walks in. I can hear Val with Paige in the hall, and it dawns on me why he wanted to do this privately. Val has no idea what's really going on. I mindlink Paige to not tell her everything. I don't want him thinking we lied.
