Brooke sat on the couch, changing channels and trying to drown herself in mindless TV. It was the only way to not think about Tyler. She missed him.
“You’re going to be traveling Europe with my girlfriend,” Chase said.
“Don’t you worry; I’ll take good care of her.”
Chase nudged her with his shoulder. “I’m not worried about her. I’m worried about you.”
“Me? Why?”
“You’ve sacrificed your dreams in the past, and I’m wondering if maybe your dreams have changed, but you refuse to let go of the old ones.”
