Billy walked into the Y’s entrance, but couldn’t say a word to Byron or his son. He passed the desk and gave Byron a furtive glance and a quick smile. On his way back from the Western Union, he’d made a decision. Kyle would have to forgive him. Francis and Julia would have to understand. But he wasn’t going back to Montreal.
