Chapter 17 “Ah, my butt,” Billy said, climbing out of the car. At last, he could stretch his sore legs. There was a hole where his stomach used to be. Xavier wasn’t big on eating and could survive on little snacks here and there. Easy for him, he didn’t have Billy’s fast metabolism. Beef jerky and an apple wasn’t going to cut it. Xavier shut the passenger door, and as always, looked around at their surroundings with suspicion. They’d finally stopped at a rest area near Biloxi for gas and food, and a much-needed piss break. “Okay, this looks all right,” Xavier said, rubbing the back of his neck.
