Chapter 15 In the motel’s small, but full parking lot, Xavier shut his door and looked at Billy over the car roof. It was close to four in the morning, and they’d just passed Tallahassee. They’d be in Alabama before noon, if they didn’t stop. Why was he so concerned with making good time? Billy was right: He didn’t have a dentist appointment in New Orleans. “So, okay, we’re paying cash and not using our real names, got it?” “Yep.” Billy closed his door and threw his Looney Tunes bag over his shoulder.
