My Luna

chapter 5

Beta is caught between a rock and a hard place. He watched as Monica and her daughter Johanna run out of the pack house in tears, with their tails between their legs. He desperately want to run after them but he's afraid because he doesn't want to experience the same fate as that of the Luna. Instead he just stands there praying for their safety.

What exactly does it mean to be the alphas son. Luna Monica went as far as killing just to have his son as the future alpha.

"My brother your pack members are still outside, waiting." Alpha Cedric glares at her.

"Zoey you betrayed me, why do you think I will ever trust you again?"

"Im sorry brother but today we all have something to celebrate, the return of the future Alpha, your son" Hearing those words Alpha Cedric spring to his feet, with a loud voice he says let's celebrate. "Beta let them feast, let them drink to the return of our Alpha." Turning to Stan he says "Come and meet your people." Alpha leads the way. They all follow.

The moment the pack members start enjoying themselves, Beta make his silent escape. He ate nothing, drank nothing even though he tried to force some few spoons in his mouth, he was worried he couldnt take the Luna out of his mind. He was wondering where she was and whether she was coping or not.

Stan just stood there observing everything that was taking place in front of him. This change he was not expecting at all, he only thought it was going to be an overnight adventure and he will return home to his normal life and to his mama. Yes his mama the woman who lied to him for 18 years. of course the woman who loved him in very measure. The same woman who took him to safety when vultures of this world wanted to feast on him. The woman who gave him life. At moment he wondered what his mother was doing nor thinking, does she know what he's experiencing. Maybe mama knew that one day he will take this journey. Yes this journey that unfolded in a way that he never expected, he wanted adventure but got more than he asked for, because he recieved so many answers that mama never gave him. Stan standing there turning back his memory he remembered that time when he felt an urge to get into the car and go to the unknown. He packed his overnight back and threw it in the back seat of his car. It was after hitting the gate that he realised that his brother Ben was waving at him. This uncontrollable feeling was all over him, the strong scent of the unknown luring him to places he didn't knew existed. Ben threw himself in the car and closed the door while the car was already in motion. That journey led them to Sunflower farm. A beautiful farm town situated next to the lake and a thick forest. They spent almost all the night at the bar and only slept at dawn. But still the restlessness was still there, he was pulled by an unknown force dragging him from his comfortable bed until he ended here at the pack house. "What am I doing here?"

"Only God knows" answered Ben. Stan was shocked because he thought that he was speaking to himself. And again that scent of the sea enveloped him, he walked to the window and among the trees he saw her, Johanna. He rushed to the door only to be blocked by Alpha Cedric who was also looking at the window staring at Johanna and her mother walking away from the pack house. As he took a step forward Alpha Cedric said "Let them go" Again the voice in his head said MATE!
