Chapter 12I leaned back, startled. I couldn’t even say anything, I was so surprised by what Eduardo just said.
Eduardo is a father?
He pulled out his phone and showed me pictures.
“This is my son Daniel. He just turned twenty-one,” he said as he showed me pictures.
There was a picture of Eduardo and Daniel on the beach from a few years ago. There was a picture of Daniel graduating high school. Daniel on a swing set as a kid. Daniel in diapers. I was in shock as he flipped through the pictures.
“I love him to death, but he’s a goofball. One time, someone mistook us for a couple. I was mortified, but Daniel thought it was hilarious. Sometimes he jokes about it, even though I tell him to stop. Clearly, he was in a joking mood tonight, and it led to a huge misunderstanding.”
