Just as Maya jumped in bed, the rain started thundering on her window. A downpour had started and she could hear the beautiful sound. She happily opened up her book and started to read. She was reading the third chapter when Jared texted her asking if she was home.
The book was quite interesting. It was a romance novel, as she came to realize, and she liked it so far. It actually showed that Jared was a romantic at heart and her heart swooned at that. She excitedly replied to him, letting him know she had started the book. He said he was already reading it too and had been waiting for her.
“I'm on chapter ten, so when you reach that chapter we can discuss a little and talk about the things we liked. I'll go have a little snack as I wait for you.”
“Okay sure. I'll join you in no time.”
