Maya had a wonderful time with her friends that evening. Damon had set up a BBQ grill on his patio, and they all sat there around a bonfire. It was so warm and cozy and Maya felt like taking a blanket and going to sleep in the sofa. Damon was busy grilling the steaks while Mark was talking and joking around animatedly with him. Maya looked at them as Damon held a skewer in his hand and while listening and laughing, as Mark told him a story about something she wasn’t listening to. She was busy looking at Damon and the way the light of the fire danced around on his face and his eyes.
Josephine was also looking at the two, and she couldn’t help but comment.
“Oh Maya this is so wonderful. I wish we could have such parties all the time! I feel so relaxed now.”
