Chapter Two
You have to be so tired that you don't remember what day it is. Monday…Saturday? Why is the alarm clock silent? I overslept? Damn, I don’t remember, it’s like a piece was cut out of memory. I tossed and groped for my cell phone.
He was absent.
As well as the bedside table, where the phone, book, keys and knitted Jasik were always lying around - my talisman for good luck.
Now I remembered that I kicked out Matvey. More precisely, she caught him with a girl and told him to get out. But I don't remember how I got home.
And am I at home?
I opened my eyes, not knowing what to expect. I don't remember how I ended up at home. The last thing imprinted in my memory: a strange stranger and her words: “I will give you a new life.” After that, failure.
And now I'm here, it's not clear where and it's not clear how I found myself. She carefully sat down, continuing to look around and realize that her eyes were getting bigger. Looks like someone hasn't woken up yet.
Looks like someone needs to be pinched.
No sooner said than done. But a pinch just below the elbow brought only a sharp pain. I mean, I didn't sleep.
Is this how I start a new life? - was all she could say.
The phrase sounded too literal. I could still understand and accept if Matvey took all things out of the apartment, including furniture. I could come to terms with the fact of waking up at the train station in the company of joyful homeless people. I was even ready to believe in amnesia due to a blow to the head.
But the reality has surpassed all expectations.
Probably even the most VIP bedroom did not look so luxurious ... and cloying. I had a persistent feeling that I overate cotton candy. And also that a unicorn in rainbows is about to enter the room. And litter here with roses.
- Ay. she spoke in a whisper.
In response, silence, and then the head was squeezed like a hoop. So, she could not stand it and grabbed her whiskey.
Aryl Bardolph. Go to him."
- M-m-ma-a-a-at. I moaned. - Not so loud.
Aryl Bardolof. Go to him."
- Good good!
The voice trailed off, the head dropped. Did I go crazy and end up in a private mental hospital? No, even if it were true for a moment, such rooms would not exist there. It's more like an apartment in a palace. In the pink palace of Barbie.
I jumped at the creak of the door and covered myself with a blanket.
- Asa Alicia, good morning!
I looked around. Is this girl talking to me? And why is she wearing a suit like a real roleplayer? A long dress, but without sleeves, thin gloves, hair hidden under a bright cap, embroidered with an incomprehensible pattern.
"I'll prepare your morning bath, Eisa Alicia."
Yes, it still appeals to me. I nodded briefly, silently just in case. And she diligently pinched her hand under the covers. But the pain convinced me more and more: I do not sleep.
“Now I’ll send you to help you get dressed.”
As soon as the doors closed, I flew out of bed. So, take a quick look outside. Urgently! My heart was pounding so hard it hurt in my chest. A few steps to thick dark pink curtains took exactly centuries. Time slowed down as I pulled back the curtain.
- Yes, how ...
The words ran out, as did the air. For a couple of seconds, I just opened and closed my mouth until I breathed again. With wheezing and cursing.
It is impossible to believe, but something incredible was opening before me. Not my city. Why, not a single city on Earth could boast of such a place.
Outside the windows stretched an ideal park. Smooth snow-white paths between figured flower beds, on which flowers were full of flowers. The crowns of the trees were given the perfect shape of a ball, and the bushes were trimmed in the form of unprecedented animals.
But all this can still be digested. And how to explain that in the bright blue sky, instead of the usual sun, two shone, but smaller. Why the shadows lay a little different, the light seemed more… golden or something. Don't know. I immediately jumped and came to the conclusion that gravity is the same as on Earth. So, where am I anyway?
And what in general? Now I'm just focusing on the clothes. Usually I went to bed either in a long T-shirt, or in a T-shirt and shorts. But never in such a snow-white-pink disgrace. Everything is ruffled, thin, impractical.
And the body...
- Mother! — already on the verge of hysteria, I moaned, looking around.
Mirror! It was found on the other side of the bed. Huge, in a snow-white frame, on which someone gifted painted dancing silhouettes of girls with pink paint. With one jump I found myself at his place, looked in ...
- Eshkin ko-o-o-o-ot! - probably, my scream was heard outside the palace, or where I ended up there. The rest of the expressions were already pronounced more quietly. And she herself looked in the mirror and touched her cheeks, hair, nose, chest. I tried to realize that I was in the mirror.
And yet it's not me. Her hair now reached her waist, lay in large rings and acquired a caramel color. The skin lost its tan, and the face ... the face, if it resembled mine, it was very, very remotely. The stranger who looked at me did not look like a classical beauty, but the innate aristocracy in her was immediately felt. Her eyes were dark green, and her lips were a little plumper than mine. In general, I now looked like a stranger, five years younger and terribly spoiled.
- Asa Alicia, everything is ready.
Again the same girl. I turned to her, apparently, my look slightly alarmed her. She stopped smiling and leaned forward a little.
“Something happened, ace?”
— Aryl Bardolph. I muttered. - I need him.
“Asa, do you want that s-sorcerer?”
Witch? I hiccupped and just nodded just in case. And then, just in case, she pointed her finger at the door.
“He will be here soon. Asa, the bath is ready.
I wouldn't mind a cold shower right now. And what about the sewerage and other amenities? Is there a toilet or am I going to have to hustle over some hole full of flies?
I followed the girl through the door opposite. It almost blended into the pale pink wall. And behind it was a huge room full of fragrant steam. He smelled of roses, oranges, something else, very delicate. And in the center of the room was a bathtub recessed into the floor. More precisely, a small pool full of snow-white and pink bubbles. They burst and then tender aromas escaped.
It seems that I, too, will soon start to s**t like a rainbow from so many cute things around.
The floor underfoot was warm, paved with dark pink tiles. An impressive pile of towels, a lot of bubbles of different sizes and colors, settled on a small hill. And there were also three girls standing there, wearing only very short white tunics and caps.
Asa, enjoy your bath. With these words, the one who brought me left.
Well, she said it out loud. For now, all I could do was hold back the questions and the rising tantrum. Where is this Aryl, is he a sorcerer or who is there? He will come and pin him to the wall, I will not let him go until he explains everything.
While standing in a stupor, I was already surrounded by maid girls. At the first attempt to take off my peignoir, I jumped back a good meter.
“Excuse me, ace,” the maid bowed instantly. “Sorry if I made you feel bad.
- Step back. I ordered.
Others have not undressed me yet. Looking sideways at the maidservants, frozen in indecision, I myself took off my clothes. And she climbed into the warm water. Bubbles pleasantly tickled the body, the aroma turned the head, enveloping.
He circled harder... harder. I suddenly realized that the smell had a strange aftertaste, too sweet, too cloying. And the air suddenly turned into jelly. I helplessly grabbed him with my mouth once ... twice, realizing that I was going under water. She tried to wave her hands, call for help, but for some reason she could not scream. And the vision began to swim, the faces of the maids that backed up to the doors turned into pale spots.
Already falling into the darkness smelling of sweetness, I managed to hear a noise, a roar and a sharp male voice. And then I passed out with the lazy thought that my strange journey might have come to an end.
