Noell could see Katty and Bea snuggled inside Gamma’s closet. She was sure with everything she was, that they were definitely a part of finding what was in that closet. Gamma’s thoughts. Her drawings. If they hadn’t moved in with her, she might never have discovered that space.
She tapped her chin. What if … what if the only reason it had been discovered was for them, but … for them all? What if it hadn’t even been there, not even existed, until … until they were all in Gamma’s room, in her house.
Perfect timing, if that could even happen.
Noell shook her head. That drawing on the wall and actually seeing Gamma’s hand, or someone’s hand, paint. If only. If only she could hold that hand again. If she could kiss it, feel it comb through her hair like when she was little, again.
