Something was up.
Something had changed.
Katty glanced around the closet, her brush poised in her hand.
The air around her seemed electric. Her skin tingled. As she breathed in deeply, a distinct fragrance entered her nostrils.
Something was happening to her insides at the same time. Inside her. Every cell, every organ. Her heart pounded. Jitters and goosebumps burned up and down both arms and both legs. Shivers all across her chest and back.
She’d been very drunk in her life and no sensation compared to this. Even when withdrawals were the worst, just before she’d downed another bottle, the tremors and shivers were nothing compared to what was happening to her now.
Every cell was lit up and not by anything she had put into her body.
Oh if this could last.
