With Christmas day quickly approaching, the foster kids seemed to be settling in some. The younger ones were taking to the new environment a little bit easier, it seemed. Libbie said that wasn’t unusual.
“I’m not saying it’s all a bed of roses for them,” she told Rudy, “or that they don’t miss home, no matter how unsettling it seems it was to us, but at that age, their needs are somewhat simpler, and they truly do adapt easier with affection and caring. How is Cody?”
