The news of Casey waking up from coma had gotten to Cody and Melissa. They went immediately they heard the news together with Josiah in his car. As they approached the ward, Cody and Melissa had a lot going on in their minds. They entered and saw Casey speaking with his sister. It was like he didn’t go into coma at the first place. He also saw them but they were not bold enough to approach him. “The both of you can come. I have forgiven you”. He said in a calm tone. They were reluctant at first but he wasn’t hostile towards them so they went to him. “I’m sorry”. They chorused together. “It’s okay, guys. My sister told me that you two were the only ones that came everyday unceasingly. Thanks guys”. “Casey, I have something to say”. Cody said. “I also have something to say”. Melissa said. The twins frowned at each other. Casey realized that their differences remained unsettled. “I also have something to say but it’s time you guys stop quarreling. You are twins for crying out loud and if the both of you say the truth about how you feel may be we would be able to end this feud right here and right now”. Melissa exhaled. “I really have to say this. I caused the feud when we were little. Cody used to care for me and help me organize things. I got accolades because he helped me. I began to feel more important and that destroyed our bond. I thought he was trash and no one would care about him.” She paused for a moment. “We used to sing together but I never made people to see him. I only wanted the attention for myself and I would agree that I was selfish. I made the floor slippery at the Talent show finals so that you would fall. I’m really sorry, Cody”. “I wanted to get back at you and I saw that Carl was dating you. I knew he wanted to ruin you so bad for reasons I don’t know but I was delighted at his action. I kept mute because that was what I wanted. Carl was like an answer to my selfish desires.” Cody said. “You started all this. We used to be cool together before you became famous. I wasn’t jealous but you used me and that made me swear revenge. I took things too far by desiring for the worst to destabilize you. I am sorry”. He said. Casey exhaled. “You have a lot in common but the both of you went too far. Melissa, you could have called for security but you watched and stood there till I was beaten to coma. ” He said, turning to her. “Cody, you called me guilty and desperate but you are the desperate one. You went to all length to keep me deterred. I tried protecting your sister but you called me evil instead.” “I don’t know why you are both filled with hatred for each other. You even took out the hatred on me. You have to apologize to each other and forgive her.” “What have I done?” Cody said remorsefully. “I did a bad thing”. Melissa said. “I’m sorry. Please forgive me”. “Forgive me too”. “Your apology is accepted”. They said together and they smiled. “You are the best sister ever”. Cody said. “And you are the best sister ever”. They hugged each other and they were happy that there were no grudges again. They had never felt better in the past five years. They had started the silent conflict five years ago but they ended the feud on good terms, thanks to Casey. Cody saw another vision that night. This time around he saw his great-great grandfather in a peaceful setting. The sky was peaceful and the day was bright. His grandfather told him he was pleased with him. It was then he realized that Alexander the Great didn’t want him to be a wizard. He just wanted him to make peace with everyone. He had fulfilled Alexander’s dictate and that made him glad. Besides, that was the best sleep he had in five years. He had a good countenance and he interacted freely with Melissa. Their parents and other siblings were glad to see that the inordinate rivalry had come to an end. They behaved like best of friends. Besides, Melissa didn’t speak with Olivia and Priscilla anymore. She later found out they were in the know of what Carl intended to do with her. People at school were surprised to find out they were twins. Their relationship was back to normal like before and they got to know new things about each other It was like a new dawn. They started off again from where they separated and it was just as if they just met. … Josiah had been waiting for this time all along. Casey was finally at his normal self and he thought it was the right time to tell Clara about his feelings. He knew she also liked him. It was on one of the days when he came to the hospital to check on Casey that he told her. Of course, Casey was well then but he was yet to be discharged. “I know you are happy to see your brother is finally out of coma”. He said. “Yes, and you have being a good friend all this while. Thanks a lot”. She said cheerfully. “Well, I don’t want to be your friend again”. He said with a straight look. “What? Why?” She asked. It was then he realized she didn’t want to let go. “I want us to take our relationship up to the next level”. He said, twiddling because he was not sure of her next response. “And by that you mean dating?” “Yes, what do you think?” “Yes, yes and yes. I also like you”. She hugged him. He left and she went back into the hospital to check on Cody. As she entered the ward, Cody saw her beaming with smiles. “What is making you so happy?” he queried. “You are so inquisitive. Well, never mind”. She said and went out once again. … It was a week later. Casey had been discharged from the hospital but he was yet to appear in school. They didn’t reveal Casey’s it to anyone in school. It was a Friday evening. Casey and the twins sat at on a white bench for relaxation. They sat with Casey in the middle; Melissa and Casey were at the left and right sides respectively. “I am so happy today, enjoying this evening breeze with two of my friends who occur to be twins”. Casey said, taking a gaze at Cody and then to Melissa. “Yes, I’m glad we are able to clear all the grudges. It’s all a thing of the past.” Cody said. “You are right. Cody, I have to make it up to you for kicking you out of music. I am going to feature and we will sing together as Morris Twins”. Melissa said, turning to him “No, I can’t do that. You are good alone”. Casey refused. “Yes, I’ll be better with you”. “No. You are better off alone”. Cody objected. “I feel horrible because I took our dream alone all for myself”. She said. “No, you didn’t crush my dreams. You helped me find football and I love it”. “Okay, I have a new song and we’ll sing it together”. “No, count me out. Casey you aren’t saying anything”. Cody said, turning to Casey. “Just this once wouldn’t hurt. Or else I am quitting music forever.” “Okay. It’s just this once”. Cody said with a shrug. “What about Carl? Are we going to just let go?” Melissa said. “Don’t worry about him. I’m never setting foot in that school again. They will receive their rewards in fair coins”. Casey replied, waving the issue off. “So am I”. Cody said. “It’s the same with me”. Melissa added. “You both have to go there”. “No, we refuse to school there again. We want to finish High School with you”. Melissa said. “Thanks for bringing us back. Your mother is also proud of you”. Melissa said. She saw his mother’s ghost. “Do you see ghosts?” Cody asked. He was astonished at her statement. “Yes, I’ve been seeing ghosts since Casey appeared to me at New Orleans”. “I did?” He asked. “Yes, the only reason you were not aware is that you snapped out of coma. That made you forgot the connections you had with the other world”. Melissa explained. “It’s so good to be alive.” Casey said, nodding his head. “Yes, it’s good to have you back”. Cody added. THE END.
