Uruk was a sight unlike any Kigal had ever beheld. She had seen the palaces of mortal nobles before and the sprawling cities that tangled around them, but never one so grand as this. Even her own home of Ganzir didn’t quite compare, not when the Land of the Living had markets and temples and braying livestock and rivers that cut alongside the cities, all laden with fishermen"s boats and trading vessels.
