Chapter 1

Anitta's POV "Darling, wake up, you need to eat your soup." "But I don't want to, Anitta. I don't have an appetite right now." "You know what? Let's just finish up the soup and I will buy you some of your favorite books to read. How does that sound? "Really? You will buy me ice-cream too?" "Yes, honey. Now eat up your soup. My shift begins in 1 hour." "Yes, mam!" Rosie is a sweet child but she is terribly sick. By sick here, I mean she has dilated cardiomyopathy - a heart birth defect - that needed money for multiple surgeries and a new heart. I need to find her a heart before she dies. She is way too young to die and I can't watch the last person I care for in this world die in front of my eyes. "Anitta? Anitta?" I snap out of my worries, looking into those beautiful blue eyes. "Yes, I am sorry I will grab you some books and I will go. Take care of yourself please Rosie." "Yes, Anitta. I am not a child anymore. I am sixteen." "Sixteen or not you are still my sister." I said as I grab her books and place them next to the table. I quietly leave the room as I get ready for my shift. I am currently working 4 part-time jobs, even though I have a bachelor degree in marketing and accounting, I can't take on a full time job because of Rosie. I can't afford to go long without her. As I walked to the bus to go to work, a flyer caught my eyes. 'Temporary Assistant needed'. Strange. They only wanted temps for only 3 hours a day. I am amazed by the salary given out. Maybe this is a perfect opportunity for me to have quite a decent job while saving up some money for Rosie's surgery. The interview is tomorrow at 3 PM. I am free which means I should try out for this job. I need this job, more than anyone else and I determine to have them. Jared's POV "Sir, the flyers are given out. I think we should be able to have interviews by tomorrow. Who are doing the interviews, sir?" Maria, my PA said. "Let Alan do it. You should be there too, Maria." "Yes, sir." "And bring me some coffee." "Right away, sir." I could feel my phone starts to vibrate. "What do you want, Alessandro?" "Hey friend, how is your luck in finding a temporary girlfriend going? I bet that your mother would be thrilled when her son is putting up a temporary assistant position but instead looking for a fake girlfriend also." Alessandro let out a low chuckle. "Cut the crap, Alex. I can't find another way." "Really? Billionaire Jared Dimitrou can't find a better way? Ooh, this seems strange." "f**k you. Okay, I am going to hang up now, I got things to do." Oh god. This is NOT fun. I have tried to find a girlfriend to make sure that mom wouldn't go over me because right now I am still single. I have no clue why she wanted me to bring a girl over in two more months since I am turning 25. I feel no rush in getting married but she does. She wanted to have grandchildren already. As I make my way to my car, I felt a short figure bumping into me. Her fiery red hair catches my attention and as she looked up I can't help but stare into those beautiful hazel mixed with amber eyes. It is like she was staring right into my soul. "I am so sorry, sir. Please excuse me." Just that she walks away, leaving those hazel eyes lingering in my head.
