The new attraction
“Okay, walk with me. I can’t stand being in this place a minute longer,” I told him, breathing heavily. I didn’t know why I was getting so worked up about it. The other wardens were scared, and they weren’t going to risk their lives for me or anyone else.
It bothered me that Victor was there, and most of all, that he saw me losing my s**t. Seeing him again caused something to snap inside of me and my old insecurities flared. He ran away to this world like the others, just so he could avoid responsibility.
