Chapter Sixteen Idris He was tall, maybe even taller than Nicolas, dressed in dark pants and a military-style jacket. His hair was thick, spiky, and I really liked the shade of his olive skin. It wasn’t dark—it was shimmering slightly in the dim lights. I swallowed hard, telling myself to keep it together. My eyes lowered to the necklace that was hanging from his forefinger, then rose meeting the darkness of his rich pupils. Desire stirred within me, rising fast, lancing into every nook and cranny of my body. Instantly, I sensed that the man standing in front of me couldn’t be a warden, or even a Dark One.
