“What? I’m definitely not doing that.” My voice rose in disbelief as I stared at him, my brows pulling together and my hands tightening on the arm of the chair.
“Well, you have no choice. Today is the last day for recruiting interns, so step up to your post,” he replied calmly.
I scoffed loudly, rolling my eyes as irritation rushed through me. My fingers tapped against the table. “Step up to my post? Never. I’d rather apply for another job at another company,” I shot back.
“You can try that, sweetheart, but you won’t be accepted. There’s no company accepting recruits anymore, and you know that,” he responded smoothly.
