Just her best friend

Noah:

Looking at Josh limping makes me feel like a d**k because he is one of my closest friends but that doesn’t give him the right to touch Nora. Before you get the idea I like her you’re dead wrong, I’m just looking out for my loser sister’s best-friend is all. Just as I’m about to get another drink I hear Trish’s annoying scream “Noah where the f**k are you!” She screams and I instinctively roll my eyes.

“What do you want Trish” I barely am able to mask the annoyance on my face, turning to look at her I don’t even see the slap coming until her hand makes impact on my face “how dare you call Nora a w***e!” My anger was already at boiling point but now I’m absolutely furious “do that again and I’ll forget you’re my younger sister” I say through clenched teeth.

Trish seems to of gotten the message because her face pales “you..you called Nora a w***e now she’s crying” I roll my eyes again “if she’s not a w***e than why is she crying” I can see Trish is getting annoyed but she’s keeping her anger in check “just please go say sorry to her”

Groaning I make my way upstairs to Trish’s room and open the door, I instantly feel guilty when I hear Nora’s cries. Walking over to her I feel anxious and my hands start to get clammy “hey Nora..” she looks at me with those stunning blue eyes and I swear my breath escapes me “what do you want Noah”

Damn even the way she says my name has my pants tightening “I just wanted to say I’m sorry” I sit on the edge of the bed and tuck a loose strand of her hair behind her ear “you’re not a whore..” for a second she smiles “you’d have to not be a virgin for that to happen” I stifle my laugh when her face turns into a scowl of anger.

“Get the hell away from me Noah, you’re such a jerk!” She pushes my arm with as much force as she can which only causes me to laugh harder “Goldie you’d have to know by now that I’m way stronger than you”

“Just leave me alone Noah!” She screams at me, I shake my head and turn to walk away. “Jesus you must be on your period or something” I mumble as I walk away and feel a pillow make contact with my head.

Closing the door I make my way back downstairs to have a few more drinks, lord knows I need it after dealing with temper tantrums.

Nora:

I wake to the throbbing in my head and decide to get up out of Trish’s bed which is easier said than done because she has me in a vice like hold.

Finally freeing myself I head to the bathroom and then downstairs to get a much needed cold glass of water. As I walk into the kitchen I can’t help but stop in shock. Noah is standing with his grey sweatpants riding down, barely covering his v line and I swear I can see a little hair peaking out.

If my throat wasn’t dry before it most certainly is now, he’s completely oblivious drinking out of an orange juice carton. Making my way to the cupboards for a cup he only then notices me and I swear my cheeks flush a new shade of red. “What are you doing up so early Goldie” he says while eyeing me curiously. I swear the words get stuck in my throat so I just lift the glass and fill it up with water.

“Cat got your tongue?” He says and steps closer to me, allowing me to see the gold hues that mix with the brown in his eyes “n-no just thirsty” I stammer out and mentally kick myself for how ridiculous I just sounded.

He laughs and puts the orange juice down before caging me against the counter “are you all shy now Goldie?” He says blowing lightly on my face causing it to go an even deeper shade of red.

Before I can respond a girl walks in the kitchen wearing just her underwear and Noah’s shirt. “Noah come back to bed” she says in a whiny tone, making sure to smirk at me when Noah moves away from me and starts heading towards his room.

I let out the breath I didn’t know I was holding before chugging my water and heading back up to Trish’s room to get sleeping beauty out of bed. Shaking my head I run my hand through my hair,thinking about the interaction that I just had with Noah.
