Chapter 15

Dragons are close to divinity. Most possess abilities.

I growl fiercely at the interruption. Araysh paces in my mind feeling possessive of Nyx, and eagerly pushing for me to cover her body.

Nyx disentangles herself from me, and was about to leave my bed in the direction of my bathroom. Grabbing her protectively I pull her to my body. Nyx instinctively leans into my embrace as I peck a kiss on her lips. Smiling I offer her the blanket.

She happily accepts and watches as I slip on my boxers. I can hear a slight chuckle from her as she is witnessing my angry pace to the pounding door.

I swing the door open ready to make this intruder forsaken their life for interrupting their Alpha.

Vikyn stands there prepared for my anger, but before I say a word.

He says, “The Windigo are attacking nearby packs in groups. Alpha Ceier is requesting immediate assistance.”

My face relaxes from a scowl as I ask earnestly, “Ceier is in the Sphere… what the f**k!? What other packs are being attacked?”

Vikyn glances momentarily to Nyx with small interest.

I growl in warning him to not look at what is mine.

Vikyn lowers his eyes, and replies solemnly,

“Here. In the Middle Realm.”

I grimace. My mind is going in multiple directions on how to address this predicament.

Nyx wrapped in a blanket comes to my side.

“I can go to the Sphere. Where is this pack located?” She assuredly offered.

Vikyn looks dubiously at her, and turns his attention to me. Clearly questioning if it would be the right call. However, leaving it to me to decide. I briefly thought it over.

I then begin to say, “Nyx, it may not be a good —“

“Idea? How so?” Nyx ask rhetorically. She then interjects, “If they are in the Sphere I can handle them quickly.”

“I don’t imagine the Wolves may be ready for a Dragon to suddenly appear. It may cause more panic.” Vikyn protests.

Nyx deliberately looks Vikyn up and down. She then pointedly remarked,

“With each passing moment where you are unnecessarily being a hindrance. Wolves are being harmed or killed. You say that it will cause a panic for a dragon to show up? Please, they’ll see their Queen obliterating those creatures from existence. If anything it will bring order to this pandemonium.”

Vikyn stares astounded at her. Speechless for once.

I am awestruck at Nyx for the authority that she put against my Beta. Not wasting anymore time. She goes on her tiptoes and places a kiss on my cheek. Initiating different feelings for Araysh and I.

Afterwards, Nyx walks away back into my bedroom, and picks up her cell phone. Shortly, the unmistakable sounds of a text message resonating out.

Nyx then says in amusement, “Besides gives me a chance to spread my wings.”
