CHAPTER 006: Going Crazy
Alexander’s Pov
The sun brightens the atmosphere, illuminating the walls of the city with its delightful glow.
I sat in my comfortable apartment that Saturday afternoon, chilling in my living room with a glass of wine in my hands.
The past few years have been hell for me because I have been in prison and was just released some two months ago.
Mr Bills Clarks. That bastard took my late parents' property, and when I tried to fight back, his only son, whom I had never seen, ordered me to be arrested and accused me of killing his Father.
All thanks to my Attorney, James Hughes, I was released just with ease.
Now that I'm out of prison, I will find Mr Clark’s son and take my revenge on him.
“ Be ready for me, son of the bastard! I don't know you, but I will certainly find you soon,” I said to myself and frowned.
While I sat watching a love drama, I suddenly remembered two weeks ago at my birthday party when I met Cassie, the most beautiful girl in the world.
Cassie is tall and slender with a curvaceous waist and a backside that can send a man’s soul to hell. With her flawless white soft skin that sparkled, I suddenly wished I could hold her in my hands forever like a baby. Those Pinky, fresh, moderate heart-shaped lips made my Adam's apple drop with a strong craving for a kiss, too.
The girl, Cassie, Rhain’s cousin, got me carried away.
What made me admire her the most was because of her innocence and timidity. I love shy girls. Expressing love to them is always fun to watch.
Her cousin, Rhain, is a wild cat, the opposite of Cassie.
The way Cassie vanished from my sight after I told her cousin how much I liked her made me c***k out. I have never seen a girl as shy as that, which made me crave more for her.
I remembered telling Rhain to give me Cassie’s contacts, but she insisted I ask Cassie for it myself.
Caressing my lips, I smiled to myself and then grabbed my phone to call Rhain. I need to jink my luck on that girl, Cassie.
Rhain took the call without hesitation.
“ Bad Budd,y,” She called me playfully.
“ Wild cat,” I retorted, and we laughed.
Rhain and I have been together for a long time, so we understand each other.
Rhain scoffed. “ What's up with you?” she asked me casually, and I reacted coldly.
“ I'm not too fine, Rhain. I’ve been sick since two weeks after my birthday,” I lied.
“ What?! Sick? Why didn't you tell me before now? Are you keeping things from me?” Rhain’s reaction got me laughing inside, but I held myself.
“ So sorry, girlfriend. I didn't want to bother you,” I said, faking a sick, shaky voice.
“ You jerk!” Rhain lashed. “ How dare you keep this from me. So where are you now?”
" I'm at home,” I replied.
“ Okay, just hold on for me. I'm coming right away,” She said, and my heart leaped for joy.
"Oh, that would be kind of you. Umm, Rhain, can I ask for a favor?” I said, my voice diminishing.
“ What is that, honey? You know I can do anything for you. Right?” She flattered me.
“ I know, my love, but can you please bring Cassie, your cousin, with you? Please,” I pleaded, knowing Cassie would be a hard nut to c***k.
“ What? Are you sick of my cousin? You know Cassie, she won't want to come with me. She said she doesn't like your seductive eyes,” Rhain revealed, and I almost laughed.
‘ Seductive eyes?’ I laughed inside.
“ Please, help me plead with her. Don't tell her it's my place you’re coming,” I begged again.
“ Fine, fine. I’ve heard you. Bye,” Rhain whined and hung up without letting me speak further.
“ Yes!” I sprang up from the couch in excitement.
Cassie was coming to my apartment. I’ll ask her to be my girlfriend right away.
I raced upstairs, got changed into something more comfortable, and came to lie pretentiously on the couch.
Some Fifty minutes later, I heard a car zoom into my company, and I stood up to the window to check who it was.
It was Rhain’s car. Suddenly, my heart skipped a beat because of Cassie.
What if she doesn't show up? I did not lie when I said I was sick. Cassie was the sickness in me.
Peeking through the window, I saw Rhain come out and slam the door, but Cassie was nowhere to be found.
Inside me, I began to sweat and pray to God over Cassie, hoping she would come with Rhain.
Shockingly, I saw only Rhain carry out some bags of groceries from the booth and was walking towards my door alone.
The man in me died flat. Cassie did not show up?
Rhain knocked on the door, and I reluctantly walked to the door, my hope bruised.
As I managed to open the door, Rhain walked in with her hands full of fruits and other things.
“Where is Cassie?” I did not wait for Rhain to enter before confronting her with the question.
“ Are you crazy, Alex?” She flared at me.
By the door, I grabbed her hands. “I'm dying for your cousin. I can't cope, Rhain,” I said, my heart pained and filled with emptiness.
Rhain fumed. “Let go of Cassie, Alexander. She is not your type of woman. I have told you this before”
“ No, Rhain. I am not going to let go of Cassie. And what made you feel she's not my kind of woman? Look, if I can't have her, no man would,” I protested, provoking Rhain.
“I will never let you have my cousin. So back off! “ She flared at me and stomped inside the kitchen at once.
Having gone crazy, I searched for my car keys, and before Rhain could come back to my living room, I drove out of the house immediately.
