Arriving at the packhouse, I could sense it was crowded. Opening the door, people were standing around talking and whispering. They stopped talking, however, as Stone and I passed, which made me feel even more uncomfortable. Something big was going on. It was not normal for this many people to be inside the house at this time of day. I felt less at ease the further we walked through the pack house. As if sensing my distress, Stone reached forward and put a hand on my shoulder. I instantly stopped walking and looked back over my shoulder. He instantly dropped his hand and sighed. “Stone, should I be worried?” I asked softly, trying not to gain the attention of the other pack members.
