Chapter 2 Clearly, Nahtaia was not thinking straight when she left Oren in the shrub. The moment she reached the wooden cart, the harsh voice of sense screamed a warning at her, but it was too late. The cart steadily bumped and thumped on the damp earth beneath it. Nahtaia fluttered underneath it, the only place no one would take notice of her glow. Stupid, stupid girl, she said to herself, flying to the side of the wheeled contraption. A few rotted holes in the wood served as a solid grip.
