Erick stuck his head in the doorway.
“Come in. I have a few things to talk to you about.”
He still looked sleepy and disheveled. I guessed he had come straight out of bed because of my sudden call.
“What have you heard about Gio's death? Have you found any trace of Alana?”
“No. Not yet. People aren't talking about Gio at all. Neither Diego nor Alana are looking for him. I haven't heard any rumors about them.”
“Alana and Brian are missing. I suspect they did it for a specific purpose. This isn't over yet.”
“I know. But they’re very good at hiding. Those closest to them don’t know where they are.”
“I’ll interrogate Uncle El as soon as possible. He definitely knows where his son is. Brian always nags his parents every time he messes up.”
