After what happened at breakfast, I decided I wouldn't be around Carlos Lident unless Joshua was around. That conversation was clear evidence that Joshua's grandfather wasn't on Joshua's side.
Luckily, this morning, Erick arrived before Joshua left for a meeting with his clients. I immediately dragged him out of the house after he had discussed some matters with Joshua. I couldn't stand being in that house for long with Carlos Lident's sharp gaze constantly looming over me. I didn’t know what the old man was thinking, but he seemed to perceive me as a threat.
