I felt too lazy to go down to the dining room and have breakfast after the horror I'd experienced last night. We got home around midnight. We went straight to our bedroom and went to bed. Joshua knew I wasn't in the mood to continue what we'd started on the beach. He didn't say anything once we were in bed. He just pulled me into his chest, and that was how we ended our entire date. "What's wrong with your face? Did you get in a fight?" Carlos immediately noticed Joshua's bruised face as soon as we entered the dining room. "This isn't the first time you've seen me look like s**t. You've seen the worst." "Yeah. Your husband was a thug at his school. If it weren't for the fact that I was the biggest donor to his school, he would have been kicked out for always fighting with his friends."
