I ran down the stairs excitedly. I was wearing jeans, a crisp floral shirt, and a white tote bag slung over my shoulder. I was so excited to go shopping at the supermarket with Rose and Roberto. Joshua allowed me to go with them this morning.
He was very busy today. He left the house early this morning with Erick. I didn't ask what he was doing out there. He always said it was better if I didn't know anything about him. But sometimes I got curious and tried to gather bits of information from Erick or by listening to the conversations of the guards passing by the mansion. Their information was like pieces of a puzzle that, when put together, would give me the answers to all my curiosity.
"We're leaving now, Rose."
