New chapter

I started to work at clinic. All the morden equipments are available. My working schedule is from 8 in the morning. There will be appointments and also walk in sessions. I am assisted by nurse named Faith Samuel and she is above 42 years with family and she is here nearly 3 years working.Only day care services are available here. So i am relieved and not stressed about any emergency cases like previous work.I am off on Saturday and Sunday.I have free time on weekends and Sunday i am accompanying grandma Sara to church. Sometimes my in laws and Sam will come with us. This has the routines for me and Linda and I are going out on Saturdays atleast in a month.

In every monday, an hour we have doctors meeting with manager and Linda about the previous week situation and difficulties. This clinic contains most of the department except inpatient. Some of the specialists are coming for monthly or weekly basis. So they are like guest doctors. We have 3 treatment rooms in each floor and the fourth floor is exclusive convention hall for meetings,classes and parties.

As this clinic started for three years , they had celebrated 3 Christmas and some of the farewell and birthday parties. Every month we have staff meeting with all departments. That time we are deciding for wellness check up and discounts for some packages.

Because of my joining , Linda started a sonogram department with technician. This was benefited for surgery department also. So i am earning so much more than from my previous job. Whenever i am writing sonogram and special investigation , Linda is paying me 10 percent of paycheck.

Even i am getting paid from some commission from Laboratories and sonogram center as we don’t have so much facilities in our clinic like MRI and CT.

It’s been 3 months i am working here. I have enough patients and getting my salary plus commission from each procedure. I am saving that money for myself. My longest dream is to get a house for myself.Even if Sam is rich ,I want to do something for my dream, who knows what would happen.

In a month I didn’t used my husband’s card and he questioned me as i am doing some sin.So now i am using his card for every transaction. In every week, my friend Linda is visiting clinic and we have dinner chat also. Actually she is concerned about my life in in- laws. I am very thankful to her for giving this job and her support in every situation.

I tested myself for my problem with pregnancy. In my results everything was normal. But I don’t want talk with husband about testing him for his problem. Now grandma Sara also is concerned about pregnancy and asking about visiting the doctor in an a big hospital. I told her, grandma, don’t worry I had undergone all procedures and it’s been very normal. The doctor asked me get Sam to visit also.As you know he is a very buzy business man, he doesn’t waste his time in this things.

Gradma replied; I will talk with him and ask him accompy you to see the doctor. He doesn’t have any problem mom; mother interrupted and continues she could have some problem and don’t want to reveal. That’s why she keeps complaining of Sam. I kept quiet.

Sam is always kept quiet whenever they are having a baby conversation. I was the one answering all their questions like I have some terminal illness.

That night i talked with Sam about this. Sam; i would like talk with you. Hmm, usual reply. Sam , actually i did some tests for pregnancy and every thing is normal for me. For the second opinion i went to our family hospital and enquired .She asked you to do some tests and we need to consult together with the doctor. What is your opinion and give us some time for consultation.He signed and told , Evelyn I don’t have time for these things and i am perfectly fine. I am having annual check and everything is fine with me.

Ok Sam; i can understand your point.

Its been 11 months after our marriage. Today they are planning for our wedding anniversary. It’s included with family reunion and publicity also. They want to include media also.

They didn’t consider my opinion of it. Most of the time I feel like i am not part of the family.

Mom, do you need help from me for anything?

You don’t need to worry about anything Evelyn. It will be fine with Event management. They will take care of it.She replied.

Oh! I should not have to worry.

Ok , I forgot to ask you Evelyn. Mom stopped me. Do you have guests list for the function? You just give the number and I provide you with some invitation.

Mom, can i invite my colleagues from clinic?

No problem. Gradma replied. Anyway it falls on weekend , so they can attend.

I left for my room as i am alone in that room because Sam is on business trip.
