Aria quietly closed the office door behind her.
The room was silent.
Dominic's desk was immaculate as always, every file neatly arranged, his laptop still open from where he had left in a hurry. The faint scent of his cologne lingered in the air, somehow making the room feel less empty.
She walked over to the large window overlooking the city.
Only moments ago, she had managed to smile in front of him.
Now that she was alone, that smile slowly disappeared.
A tear slipped down her cheek before she could stop it.
She quickly wiped it away with the back of her hand.
"No..." she whispered to herself. "This isn't good."
She closed her eyes tightly.
"What am I even doing?"
She had promised herself she would never become possessive.
